Important Notice and Apology Regarding Unauthorized Access to Our Hotel Reservation Platform

 

Dear Guest,

 

We are writing to let you know that a third-party technology provider, which operates an online reservation platform used in connection with Official website bookings at LEGOLAND Japan Hotel has recently identified that limited contact information relating to your guest reservation (specifically name, email address, and telephone number) has been accessed without our authorisation. Our investigation has identified 1,557 reservations that may have been affected by this incident.

The incident involved the third-party provider's system, not LEGOLAND Japan’s own systems. Based on information provided to us by the third-party provider, payment details, passwords, financial information, and passport data were not accessed.

 

Staying alert to scam messages

As a general precaution, please be aware that incidents of this kind can sometimes be followed by scam messages, often by WhatsApp, text message, or email, that may reference your booking and attempt to obtain payment or personal details. If you receive any message claiming to be from LEGOLAND Japan that asks you to confirm booking details or click a link, please treat it with caution as this is unlikely to be a genuine message from us.

LEGOLAND Japan will never ask you to make additional payments via WhatsApp, text message or email links. We will never ask for your full card number, one-time passcodes, or account credentials outside of our official booking and payment systems.
If you do receive any suspicious messages, we would be grateful if you could forward them to us at so we can look into them. A screenshot is helpful if possible.
